Friday

I must admit to joining in the chat with a cup of tea, instead of coffee. My time to write comes in the afternoon and my coffee is usually a morning thing. So I have filled one of my favorite teapots with vanilla tea. While the bread is rising, I will write for a few minutes. After the loaves are formed and rising again, I will curl up in my favorite corner on the loveseat in the bay window with my new "Victoria" magazine and my teacup and enjoy a few quiet minutes while the boys nap.

I just finished reading "Persuasion" and started "Lady Susan", another Jane Austen story. It is cleverly written though I doubt of it ever being made into a film as it is shorter and written entirely as letters. It is fun though.

I was able to finish up some sewing this morning with still more to do. Nothing exciting, or pretty, just stuff that needs to be done. I prefer craft sewing and being creative to shortening sleeves and sewing covers for machines.

I am buried under laundry today. I usually do it twice a week, but somehow got off schedule and have a lot to do. It's not the most exciting thing, but so necessary.

I went through a tub of old maternity clothes and sorted through them. I'll need to have Sweetheart get the other tubs out this weekend. I was blessed with several bags of clothes last time and some I never needed. It's time to pass the ones I won't wear onto someone else. I am sort of all over the place with clothes right now as the maternity things are swallowing me up and the regular clothes getting snug. It is what it is. And it is a blessing.

It's been a cold, quiet week here in Colorado. Several inches of snow fell yesterday and through the night. It is lovely, but unwanted. More snow is forecast. But snow, or not, Sweetheart and I have reservations for lunch at a tearoom across town.
I am excited for some time with him. We are planning to visit a few of the shops nearby featured in the last "Victoria". Their sizes would not permit a stroller and I would find it difficult to just have the boys roaming free. They are well-behaved, but they are curious and only two and four after all.

Otherwise, we have no real plans for the weekend, but to be together and stay warm. Hope you are all having a wonderful Friday! What do you have planned for the weekend?

Sounds delightful!
I'm hoping to sneak in some sewing, I found a skirt pattern I *think* I can modify for maternity wear, other than that, we are having an impromptu hot dog/marshmallow roast in the wood stove, and I'm making a big pot of chili for a missions dinner after church Sunday. Mountains of laundry here too- I think it breeds in the baskets....

Mmm - your tea looks wonderful! I'm not a coffee person, but sincerely appreciate a nice cup of tea - and doesn't it just taste better in china? I think so! I do hope you enjoy your quiet time at the tea room with your husband!

Oh these photos are so inviting. I would love to join you at the bay window or tea room - what nice moments you have planned. I'm from NC, where we don't (usually) get much snow, so the novelty still hasn't worn off for me out here :)

Tea would great! I love tea. A bay window is nice too. =) Laundry..seems like many Company Girls have that to do this weekend. I actually don't mind it.

I hate the inbetween stage of pregnancy...especially when you don't look big enough to be pregnant...only like you enjoyed yourself at the buffet. =p

Thanks for coming by to visit our blog. I enjoyed coming over and seeing the lovely photos. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the well wishes Kimberly. I woke up this morning to my 6 year old throwing up, so I probably have a long weekend ahead of me. He's sleeping soundly now though, and I can take a nap later because my DH has Saturdays off.

Hope you enjoy your weekend despite the snow.

The tea sounds lovely (my friends say I am a tea snob, but I don't drink coffee, so it is my vice I suppose). I just watched a movie the other day about a group of women who form a book club and each month read a Jane Austen novel. It was interesting to see how they used the novels as metaphors for their lives. It got me thinking of reading some of her more obscure work.

that spoon is so lovely! i love little treasures like that. they give so much simple pleasure, especially when they are utilitarian and you have your hands on them often.

i'm actually enjoying your vanilla tea right now -- my one day off, and i'm catching up on blog reading. :) love & hugs.

Thanks for commenting on my post. Your blog is a delight to behold. And your plan visit to a tearoom sounds lovely.

Reducing computer time is a perpetual challenge for me, so I'm opting for simpler meals during the coming weeks as a short-term endeavor. =)

I hope you had a productive, refreshing weekend and that you welcome God's presence as you start a new week.
