Once I was spotted, the picture taking was over. Well, at least pictures that weren't full of a blurry little girl who loves to look at the back of the camera to see herself.

Meanwhile, I'm using spare moments here and there working on projects for this weekend's Christmas Fair. I must admit to struggling with enthusiasm for it all. I'd like to get going on Christmas gifts, but know I should wait until the Fair is done.
I'm painting wooden signs today. Hopefully, they'll sell better than my Autumn ones. I was hoping to get an Etsy store opened, but haven't done it yet. I'd like to, maybe people would want to buy a "piece of the farm" for Christmas gifts. I'd like that.

I find sitting down to blog...forced...lately. I'm not sure why. Maybe because I've been doing this for six years. It's my outlet and so I'd kinda hate to end it. I think I'd miss it. I do miss the old days of blogging. It seemed like there was more back and forth with readers then. Some days, I feel like I'm just talking to myself. ;)

Oh I have been listening it is slow in Bloggerland lately I think the economy and sadness has taken its toll and people need to come to terms with less so blogging is not a high priority for them.
ReplyDeleteI also find it a stress reliever but must admit it is expensive as far as internet access. Take a break if you need too but do not stop.

ReplyDeleteDo keep going! I think we all go through dry times, though. Especially if there is a lot going on at home, not the fun kind of stuff to blog about but a lot of WORK.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I've noticed is the huge change in comments. There are fewer overall and those who are part of a community are really those who have read for a long time.
I think a lot of it is just the increase in the number of blogs, more people are reading on rss feeds and not taking the time to comment.

ReplyDeleteI know the feeling Kimberly, but I just don't post or say only a quick hello. I think if one's been blogging long enough it has it's ups and downs for the most part. I barely blogged at all for the first six months of this year when my husband was home from work with a broken leg...I just couldn't find the time in my new schedule and/or felt overwhelmed and simply put it at the bottom of my to~do list. Once he went back to work I regained my enthusiasm for blogging and am so glad I didn't give up completely. I looked at it as putting the blog on pause for a short bit while I took care of life...for real~life trumps internet :)))
