""Offer hospitality to one another...
Each one should use
whatever gift he has received
to serve others."
~1Peter 4:9-10
"It (tea) tempers the spirits and harmonizes the mind; dispels lassitude and relieves fatigue;
awakens thought and prevents drowsiness;
lightens and refreshes the body and clears the perceptive faculties."
Thank God for tea!
What would the world do without tea?
How did it exist? I am glad I was not born before tea.
~Sydney Smith 1771-1845
Tea, though ridiculed by those who are naturally coarse in their nervous sensibilities...will always be the favorite beverage of the intellectual.
~Thomas de Quincey 1785-1859
"If you are cold, tea will warm you-
If you are heated, it will cool you-
If you are depressed, it will cheer you-
If you are excited, it will calm you."
~William Gladstone
"There are few hours in life
more agreeable than the hour
dedicated to the ceremony known as
afternoon tea."
Lord, grant that our time together be steeped in serenity,
sweetened by sharing,
and surrounded
by the warm fragrance
of your love.
~Emilie Barnes
4 Of Your Thoughts:
Love the shots very original. Glad you had a great time. B
Your photos are great and not what I expected. I thought they would be of city thing, but are instead very quiet and measured. I am very happy you had a good time. I'm also glad to know you have a family that understands and supports. Good for you.
BBB&B-These pictures are from the middle of Portland! If one were to turn around, the skyscrapers were right there. :)
I went to the BIG city and did a bit of shopping-tea, herbs and art supplies--and then headed to the city park. It was passed prime for sure, but still lovely in spots.
Stephanie texted me a couple of days ago, telling me she was going crazy and needed to get away from the kids for awhile.
I told her about your R&R and also how you not only have kids and household chores and such but... a cow.
She decided perhaps her life wasn't so crazy after all.
