So, my kitchen windowsill is getting rather full.
In addition to the nice bottle of dish soap, the jar of fresh cilantro, and the pot of mint we have quite a collection of friends.
We have Frederic the Caterpillar, Leo the Ant Lion, and Katie the Katydid.
Each has his, or her, own container.
The plants and bottle have doilies under them, of course.
Maybe the bugs should, too.
It is possible that we've taken our Nature Studies a bit too far...

LOL, I understand your dilemma. No answers ... I'm still living it with the younger ones, but I will tell you that by the time they turn 20 they leave your windowsills alone and the critters and rocks outside - for the most part. ;o)
