"Isn't it splendid
to think of all the things there are to find out about?
It just makes me feel
glad to be alive--
it's such an interesting world.
It wouldn't be half so interesting if we know all about everything,
would it?
There'd be no scope for imagination then,
would there?"
~Anne Shirley
"It (tea) tempers the spirits and harmonizes the mind; dispels lassitude and relieves fatigue;
awakens thought and prevents drowsiness;
lightens and refreshes the body and clears the perceptive faculties."
Thank God for tea!
What would the world do without tea?
How did it exist? I am glad I was not born before tea.
~Sydney Smith 1771-1845
Tea, though ridiculed by those who are naturally coarse in their nervous sensibilities...will always be the favorite beverage of the intellectual.
~Thomas de Quincey 1785-1859
"If you are cold, tea will warm you-
If you are heated, it will cool you-
If you are depressed, it will cheer you-
If you are excited, it will calm you."
~William Gladstone
"There are few hours in life
more agreeable than the hour
dedicated to the ceremony known as
afternoon tea."
