but what he rereads."

I love to read. I always have. Since my sister taught me to read before I ever started school, reading has been a part of my life. I read constantly. If a book is good enough I will reread it , sometimes many times. Several of these books are rereads. I seem to reread certain books seasonally. For example, The Secret Garden is a perfect book to read in Spring. I reread the Mitford series each Fall, and Little Women in the Winter. Some books I've reread so many times that I've completely lost count.
The Secret Garden and The Little Princess by Francis Hodgson Burnett
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
The Private World of Tasha Tudor and Springs of Joy by Tasha Tudor
Desiring God by John Piper
What Every Mom Needs by Elisa Morgan & Carol Kuykendall
The Story of My Life by Helen Keller
*Deception by Randy Alcorn (to be published April 17th)
*Living Simply: Choosing Less in a World of More by Joanne Heim
*Taking Care of the Me in Mommy by Lisa Whelchel
***These three I need to buy.
Plus whatever random fiction stories & gardening books that catch my eye at the library...
What are you reading, or rereading as the case may be?

Hi Kimberly, I read The Secret Garden every spring too! It's my all time favorite book. This year I'm reading it out loud to the girls and Benjamin. We are about to find out about Colin...my favorite part!
I also reread Jane of Lantern Hill (Montgomery) and Springs of Joy. I borrow "A Time to Keep" by Tasha Tudor from the library every few months. I keep looking for it at the used book store though!
Oh, and the little house books are good re-reads!
Kelli
I love Laura Ingalls Wilder, too! I just know my set of Little House books is buried in a tub of school stuff in the basement. Maybe I'll have to go dig them out...
I've been trying to keep my reading list updated on the side-bar of my blog. Books I'm currently reading, what I've recently read, and books that are in my to-be-read stack. And I love to re-read old favorites!
Hmm...I reread all of my favorite books almost every year too.
All the Mitford books by Jan Karon
All of the Anne books
All of the Chronicles of Naria
The Secret Garden
All of the Lord of the Rings books
All of the Harry Potter books
All of Peter Mayle's novels
Diana Gabaldon's Outlander novels
And I'm going to have to add all of the Besty-Tacy books too. And all of The Wrinkle in Time books.
And that's just fiction....there are a bunch of non-fiction books I reread too:
My Bible
Living Prayer by Robert Benson
The Holy Wild by Mark Buchanan
Walking on Water by Madeline L'Engle
I do read new books too, but all of these books are old friends and I need to visit them often!
I really enjoyed The Secret Garden when I read it last year. I may have to reread that one too. I'm rereading the Narnia books and The Hobbit this year.
I have the Taking Care of Me in Mommy book. It's very good! I love all the books you listed (that have been published and would like to read Joanna's, as well). I bought "A Little Princess" for my niece, which was illustrated by Tasha Tudor...it was lovely.
We need to all try to meet for lunch one day in south Denver! That would be fun!
What a fun thing this blogging has been...with four children between the ages of 9 and 7 mos, it's a good outlet for being creative.
I read like you do...all the time. I always say that you do what you want to and I want to read, so I fit it in wherever I can.
I also re-read the Mitford series, Jane Eyre, Anne books, a few by Kristen Heitzmann and also by Lori Wick and Pride and Prejudice. I also like to read stories about missionaries.
Blessings on your week!
In His Joy,
Holly
