Since I knew she was coming over I mixed the dry ingredients for pumpkin bread and wheat bread last night. All I needed (kneaded?) to do this more was add the wet ingredients and put the loaves in the oven. I freshened up the house for a few minutes, putting on the Wyndam Hill Winter cd and lighting the Hazelnut Coffee candle in the dining room.
As the house filled with the scents of the candle and the baking bread, I put Pumpkin down for his nap and got myself ready. Just before she was to arrive I made a pot of tea. We just sat and visited having our tea and bread. What a refreshing time!
We did not know each other well, but really hit it off during the visit. We seem to have some things in common. I hope we'll be able to get together again soon. It was so nice of her to stop by. It made my week! Thank you, Lord!
