'Maters

We were forecast for a freeze last night so I picked and picked and picked. I pulled tomatoes (obviously), cantaloupes, cucumbers, watermelons, onions, beets, corn, peppers and my geraniums. I pulled all the potted plants in and covered all the beans. The kitchen is piled with produce. And-no freeze. Super.

(By the way, this is what about 80 pounds of tomatoes looks like. This isn't including all the tomatoes we have already enjoyed. Wow! The only other time I grew tomatoes I got two cherry-sized tomatoes total from two plants. This year I planted seven plants. In spite of the late start we are thrilled with the results.)

I need to pick my last few things, once it stops raining long enough.

My kitchen and cellar look the same as your photos. (Great photos, by the way). We hit 22 degrees last night. Marathon pickling is underway. By the way, don't you love that wire basket with the big wooden handle? I've got a couple of them and don't know what I did before I had them. Wish I could grow melons and corn. Oh, well. Enjoy your bounty!

WOW Kimberly! That's a lot of green tomatoes! How many plants did you have this year?? Hopefully they will all ripen nicely.

Your mater photo made me laugh. My 2 year old son is obsessed with Cars.

Wow! Your bounty looks wonderful. We had a blight this year and lost almost all of our tomatoes. The cherry tomatoes did well though, and I am thankful for being able to have them for the coming months of cold and snow. ~lisa

Hi Kimberly, It looks like you have been enjoying a beautiful harvest!! I have enjoyed reading your last several posts... :)

When you have a minute, I was curious as to where you purchased your lotion supplies. I'm hoping to make some for Christmas presents... thanks so much!

Blessings,
Carrie
