Sweetheart is taking over tomorrow and I'll have the day to myself. What would you do? I've got a few ideas floating around, but would love suggestions...
I'll miss my boys, I know, but it is so refreshing to just have a day.
*****Edited to add later:
I'm thinking breakfast at the Devil's Food Bakery. Then spend a little time wandering around the neighborhood by the bakery. The Tended Thicket and Pome are two unique and delightful shops. There is also a large park, Wahington Park nearby.
I'm planning on bringing one of my Everything Books, my watercolor pencils, and the camera. This is also a fun place to browse, but completely on the other side of town. We'll see...
A day to myself wow what a concept!! I would read and crochet maybe and have tea while doing it,lounging with soft music playing in the backround, maybe the soft scent of a candle too.... what the heck if its a day just for me!!

Grab your Mom and come here!!
ReplyDeleteI just took the chairs up to the to deck on the third floor....I'm planning on reading and drinking coffee for the first part of the day...then we could take a drive to New Hope/Lambertville on the Delaware River.
Check out the galleries and have a late lunch!!
Just dreaming......
How sweet! I would find a used book store with a coffee shop and browse and sip coffee (not a tea drinker here)... maybe find a vintage shop or two to look through... or a thrift store I haven't been in before...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy yourself! I can't wait to here how you spend your day!
I would go out for a manicure/pedicure/haircut/whatever else suits your fancy :)
ReplyDeleteI usually don't get days to myself, and it's hard to bring a little guy along to those kind of places.
Of course, having coffee somewhere in a little bookshop or a bubble bath with candles at home sound nice too :)
What a sweet gift from your husband! I know you will enjoy your alone time. I can't wait to hear about it!

Sounds wonderful! If I had a day, one thing I would do is go to Elizabeth's Embellishments too! I love that place, but my girls... do NOT. :) I hope you had (are having?!) a restful and quiet day to yourself.
ReplyDeleteYour day out alone sounds wonderful! I would go for an early breakfast, then some browsing/shopping/retail therapy, reading (Uninterrupted), bubble bath, journaling, cup of tea, possibly late lunch . . . I am going to have to do this sometime soon!
ReplyDeleteThat's a sweet picture of you and your little boy. It's nice to see you once in awhile. Take care.
